Setting the Table: Why I Started This Blog

Writing has always been a part of my journey with the Lord. Every time I sit with Him, whether in prayer, reading His Word, or simply being still, I find myself journaling. I write down the thoughts I’m processing, the questions I’m asking, the corrections He gently speaks, and the revelations He reveals in the quiet moments.

For a while, I’ve been sharing bits and pieces through short captions, but I’ve come to realize that I need more space, somewhere I can fully express and reflect on what God is doing in my heart. That’s why I’m here. That’s why I’m starting At The Table With The King.

I know blogging isn’t as popular as it used to be. Back in the early 2000s, I loved reading blogs, there was something raw, personal, and reflective about them, like stepping into someone’s journal and seeing life through their eyes. And even though blogging isn’t as trendy today, I still follow and read blogs that resonate with me. There’s just something about words written with depth and intention that speaks in a way that fast content often can’t.

This blog is an open journal,

a place where I can share the things God is teaching me as I walk with Him. It’s not about having everything figured out, but about being intentional in sitting at His table, listening, and allowing Him to shape my heart.
